On the first two places are the Great Belt Bridge (Denmark) and the H\u00f6ga Kusten Bridge (Sweden). The construction of this bridge is one of the most complex infrastructure works ever carried out in Romania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The inauguration of the suspension bridge in Braila will exponentially develop the economy of Tulcea and Braila counties. It also propels Romania into the echelon of states with <strong>top road infrastructure<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A suspension <a href=\"https:\/\/www.h-metal.ro\/blog\/en\/\">bridge<\/a> is a type of bridge in which the deck, consisting of a steel arch, is supported by steel suspended cables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>STEEL USED FOR EUROPE\u2019S THIRD \u2013 LARGEST SUSPENSION BRIDGE<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The cables used to suspend the Bridge over the Danube in Braila have a weight of over 6,700 tons. They are produced by a Japanese company and have a 120-year warranty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each cable is 60 centimeters in diameter and is anchored in anchor blocks on each bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The suspension cables must be anchored at each end of the bridge. Any load applied to the bridge turns into voltage in these main cables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of 25,000 tons of concrete steel and over 200,000 cubic meters of concrete were used for the construction of the Danube Bridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The suspension bridge over the Danube has a <strong>length of 1,974 meters<\/strong>.
