To better exemplify the difference between the HE profiles, I have attached a sketch. Where it can be seen that for the same profile size the weight, the height of the profile (h1), as well as the thickness of the heart (s) and wings (b) differ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hea, Heb and Hem profiles have a much higher moment of inertia than in the case of Inp and Ipe profiles. They can be used as bent or axially stressed elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HEA<\/a> is the lightweight version according to the DIN 1025-3 standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The HEB<\/a> profile is the normal version according to the DIN 1025-2 standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HEM is the heavy version according to the DIN 1025-4 standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The difference between HE profiles (HEA, HEB and HEM) – their description<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For an equal moment of inertia, the Hea profile is the lightest. Its dimensions will be superior to the Heb profile and especially compared to those of the Hem profile. The moment of inertia expresses the measure by which a body resists changing its state of relative rest. Of course, uniform rotation movement under the action of a moment of force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a Hea<\/strong> with a size of up to 300 mm, the height of the profile (h1) is smaller than the width of the wings (b). After this dimension, the height of the profile increases while the width of the wings remains constant at 300 mm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For an equal distance between the two equal wings, the Hea profile is the lightest. And the Hem profile is the hardest. It should be noted that the distance between the inner faces of the wings is identical for the Hea, Heb and Hem profiles of the same type. This particularity can be interesting for the design of certain joints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This type of steel profiles are used for the main structure of large metal constructions. Representing the most modern and fastest version, with a slim shape, greater resistance and easy to assemble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Profiles from the HE <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Group (HEA, HEB and HEM) are used for large and complex metal constructions such as: industrial halls, factories, sports halls, malls, administrative buildings, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
